A locked PDF in four steps
- 1Choose the file. From Home, Tools, Files, or “Add password with Dokulo” in another app’s share sheet.
- 2Set the password. Type it twice; the meter shows its strength. Set what others may do.
- 3Run. Short jobs just finish. A long one shows its progress; “Keep working” lets you leave, and a notification says when it is done.
- 4Check the result. “Protected with AES-256”, saved as a copy named “protected”.

Questions
Is my file uploaded?
No. Add password runs on your phone, in airplane mode too. Dokulo has no server for files.
What if I forget the password?
Then the file can’t be opened, by you or by Dokulo. That is why the warning is always there.
Is the password stored anywhere?
No. It goes into the file’s encryption and nowhere else.
Is there a limit on file size or pages?
No size, page or daily limits, and no watermark.
